Near Marseille, the cities of Bouc Bel Air and Simiane-Collongue set-up an inter-municipal medical consultation centre dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemia mangement.
The CCD of Grand Vallat (Consulting Center dedicated to COVID-19), thanks to a team of professionals and volunteers, treats patients potentially infected by the virus to prevent the virus spread and the overcrowding of emergencies. Patients are sampled, diagnosed & redirected to the emergencies if necessary.
This temporary structure, which can accommodate up to 500 people per day, therefore generates a large amount of biomedical waste potentially infected with coronavirus. Sterilwave grinds and sterilizes directly on site infected waste which could participate in the spread of the virus if it were treated off site.
